I got the Spoonflower weekly contest blog post in my rss feeder today. For those of you not familiar with the site, Spoonflower is a print your own fabric site. They sell a wide variety of fabrics printed with designs created by users or you can create your own design and have it printed on a fabric either for yourself or for the general public to buy. This week's contest is Time Travel and while there were several Doctor Who themed prints, I fell in love with this one. I haven't actually bought from them before, but McCall's/Butterick/Vogue did a $1.99 pattern sale on black Friday and among the patterns I bought was this messenger bag and I will probably buy a little extra for something else.
In other news, I got a call from my super yesterday, asking if I could come home from work and let him in to my apartment, so I did. He arrived with a representative from a Bath/Plumbing company who explained to me that my upstairs neighbor was having her parents move in and was converting their bath to be accessible and that they were going to need to get into my apartment and break into my bathroom walls to deal with the plumbing changes (this is not a surprise, the plumbing in my building is strange). In exchange, they offered to regrout my tub AND repaint the bathroom. I'll also be having them replace the stop valves in the bathroom, as the last time I had to replace bits of the toilet the stop valve didn't work properly. So I figure I'm getting a very good deal here.
